This is Volume 6 in our Celestial Updates, Reiki Journal and Calendar.

Mark and I are feverishly working on the Astrological and Reiki sections of our website. We are dedicated to providing you with concrete information as tools to help you with your life. We will post these updates bi-weekly according to the cycles of the Moon. They will also contain other planetary aspects with potential impact on many or all of us. The Full Moon on Monday August 11th is at 19 degrees of Aquarius. This holds particular significance for those with any FIXED planets at 19 degrees (Aquarius, Taurus, Leo, Scorpio). Also check which houses your fixed planets live in, this can give you clues as to the issues you need to work on at this time. To gain the maximum benefit from this information you will want to gain a familiarity with your Natal chart. The FULL MOON is the best time of the month for follow up and completion. In Aquarius the focus is on friends, politics and public welfare and involves the collective consciousness. Once each year the Moon is Full in Aquarius emphasizing the revolutionary cutting edge ideas that bring about social change. It may be time to do the right thing in some aspect of your social arena! The focus is on intellectual ideals which bring about positive and purposeful change. It is time to move beyond the old outmoded ways of thinking and shift globally to improved systems of simple living and compatibility. This brings me to a favorite quote: "Loyalty to a petrified opinion never yet broke a chain or freed a human soul." Mark Twain, (1835-1910).

Have your own personal Full Moon Ceremony. Make a list of a few non productive patterns of behavior or inner feelings and emotions that no longer serve your highest good, such as, envy, jealously, laziness, arrogance, fear, or just plain old negative thinking (what Mark calls stinkin’ thinkin’) !! Take a detached look at yourself and list some things you want to eliminate from your life You may want to eliminate a situation of lack or worry about finances or mabe there is a relationship that drags you down. All of these things are appropriate to release at the Full Moon. Possible ways to word your intentions could be, “I now release _____ from my life, or I now let go of_______, to be replaced with______.” Release all with love and gentle kindness. Remember the Universe is very specific in what it returns to you from your thoughts and envisioning. So be specific and thoughtful about what you desire. And always end with a phrase similar to "this or better." to leave the way open for something even more suited to your situation. There is a three day window in which to cast your intentions to the Universe and take advantage of the Full Moon energies, the day before the Full Moon, the day of the Full Moon, and the day after.

PERSEUS METEOR SHOWER Take your blanket and head for the hills to watch this spectacular show of over 100 shooting stars per hour. Best viewing time is dawn on Wednesday the 13th. Be sure to be on the lookout for EARTHGRAZERS. These are the slow, colorful shooting stars that streak parallel to the horizon. For best viewing look away from the Full Moon.

The FULL MOON is the brightest light in the night sky but for the next few weeks MARS is an amazing second.

Mars is now full into its retrograde cycle. Mars is retrograde for about three months (going direct Sept. 27) covering the same area of the sky for about 5 months until Dec. 16. Mars is the rarest of the Retrograde cycles occurring once about every 26 months and tends to be felt very deeply. If you are feeling disoriented take some time to meditate, journal, sing, dance, hang out on the Earth, enjoy a garden, lay on a rock, or sit with a tree. It is also immensely helpful to get some extra rest. Following your inner guidance and listening to what your body needs in these intensified times of purification and transformation is a wise course of action anytime and especially now.

Because it is closer to the Earth since Cave Man days, (73,000 years) in a very real sense, Mars is "in our faces" this summer. We are being challenged - individually and collectively - to find ways to express Martian energy creatively and constructively. If we turn our backs and try to ignore the energy of Mars at work in the world, we may find ourselves becoming hot, impatient, demanding, steaming, angry, even warlike. Or we may find ourselves face to face with other people exhibiting these qualities. Mars is nothing to trifle with. Mars means business. Mars will not be denied. Mars asks for your courage, your action, your skill.

WATER SIGN ALERT

For those who have prominent water signs in your Natal chart, (Scorpio, Cancer, Pisces) particularly at early degrees, be prepared for a bit of a bumpy ride. We have some heavy hitters stirring the water: Saturn, Uranus, and Mars will be swimming around for a while. Mars is pushing the limits in Pisces as is Uranus, and Saturn is in Cancer stressing accountability in our homes and homeland. With Saturn in Cancer (for 2.5 years) you might also expect feelings of personal restriction and even some depression. It can also mean feeling a sense of responsibility or feelings of guilt and fear. It might be of interest to note that Pres. Bush as well as the country both have their birthdays in Cancer and are heavily impacted by Saturn directly and Mars and Uranus indirectly. The country is also in for a bumpy ride. Remember, this too shall pass, but it is always helps to understand where the hits are coming from.

NEW PLANET ALERT

Some 13 billion years ago in a distant cluster of stars, a planet formed. Remarkably, it's still there, according to the Hubble Space Telescope. Orbiting a pair of burned-out stars in the crowded globular cluster "M4", the planet is too small to see from Earth. However, backyard sky watchers can see the cluster where it lives. This planet is 2.5 times the mass of Jupiter.

REIKI 1 TRAINING – Sunday August 17th in Vista, CA. We welcome those who may want to drive here from elsewhere. The class will start at 1:00 thru 6:00 pm. There is plenty of time to drive out in the morning and Sunday is a low traffic day. You may want to car pool. Please RSVP ASAP there is limited availability.

Reiki (pronounced Ray-Key) is a Japanese word meaning universal life energy and is the energy that flows through all living things. REIKI 2 TRAINING – Not yet scheduled. We expect to hold two classes sometime in the Fall. One in Vista and one in LA. We will post the dates in future mailings.

The Reiki II class is for students who have already completed Level I training, and who are ready to take a quantum leap in their ability. The instruction and the attunements you receive in this class will spark a huge leap in your capacity to channel Reiki.

NEW MOON SLUMBER PARTY – Several have expressed an interest in coming to Vista and experiencing our beautiful yard, ruffing it from a tent, and enjoying the New Moon at the fire pit, not to mention the GREAT FOOD! It is also Misty’s birthday weekend. Friday evening September 26th thru Sunday the 28th. We will have the Moon Ceremony on Saturday nite. RSVP on this one to Wendy@CelestialDesignInc.com. There will be a nominal charge yet to be determined.

MOON CYCLES for the next couple of months fall more toward the middle of the week which makes group activities more difficult. We will continue to send the up-dates however, so you can plan your personal Moon celebrations.
