Apr 24, Sunday 3:06 am PST. This Full Moon eclipse in Scorpio is a highly charged experience of raw, primal life force energy creating passion, magic, personal power, and manifestation. The fullest experience for Scorpio in this reality comes from discovering personal passion and what feels most alive. Helpful mantras for this time are forgive, shed, release, surrender, accept, and transform.

A Full Moon symbolizes the fulfillment of the seeds planted at a previous New Moon or some earlier cycle. Each Full Moon reminds us of the seeds we may have coming to maturity, to their fullness, to fruition, to the place where the fruits or gifts are received. It may seem that fullfillment of our goals takes a long time. Some intentions may manifest within the two week phase prior to the next New or Full Moon. Some however, depending on their complexity, may take a much longer time. Just remember that our thoughts set Universal Action in motion and much work takes place behind the scenes as everything is orchestrated for fullfilment. Keep visualizing your goals as though you have already attained them and they will eventually manifest. Patience is required.

FULL MOON IN SCORPIO (5 DEGREES)

Now it's the Moon's turn to be eclipsed. As the Moon moves through the shadow of the Earth, we experience her reflection of the Sun's light. What we call moonlight actually travels 93 million miles from the Sun and is then transduced another 250,000 miles from the Moon to the Earth. During a lunar eclipse, we experience the yin, receptive energy of the Moon most directly. The less attentive we are to our feelings and needs, the more troubling eclipses appear to be, since the Moon mirrors our emotional truths and the tides of the unconscious. When we commune with the Moon, what has been allocated to the shadows comes to light.

With the Sun in Taurus, the spotlight is on our rapport with the physical world: how we hold and manage our relationship with the Earth, our body, our possessions, our requirements for security, and our need for pleasure. Taurus, as the first earth sign, draws our attention to the privilege and pleasure of being in a body. The Taurus challenge is balance, to cultivate a reverent and harmonious relationship with the material world.

The Moon in Scorpio reminds us that everything changes, everything passes, everything evolves. Like its ruling planet, Pluto, Scorpio takes us into the unconscious, and into the hidden sides of human nature. As the Moon illuminates the darker corners of our psyche, it's harder to hide what we feel from others and, more importantly, from ourselves. This eclipse highlights our deepest desires and our deepest fears. Where the Sun at 4° Taurus falls in your natal chart is the area of your life most ripe for greater love and beauty; the Moon at 4° Scorpio reveals the area where you are culling and creating space for something new.

If the genie in the bottle could grant you one wish, what would it be? And if you can be ruthlessly honest with yourself, what is the main thing holding you back? What sidetracks you? What tempts you away from your path? Sometimes we have to dive in, to see what is really there, we need to stop running, to feel and face the truth.

There was a lunar eclipse six months ago, on October 27, 2004, at 5°02' Taurus-Scorpio, very close to this lunar eclipse at 4°20' Scorpio-Taurus, but with the positions of the Sun and Moon reversed. The areas of our life that we seeded and weeded last autumn are requiring further cultivation and pruning this spring. This eclipse also relates to an earlier period: 19 years ago, on April 24, 1986, there was a total lunar eclipse at 4°03' Scorpio-Taurus. Six months before that, on October 28, 1985, there was a total lunar eclipse at 5°15' Taurus-Scorpio. What were your priorities
then? Where are your passions now?

This lunar eclipse sheds light on what we really want and what's blocking us from having it. It also
helps us to realize: "Security is mostly a superstition. It does not exist in nature, nor do we children of men as a whole experience it. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing. To keep our faces toward change and behave like free spirits in the presence of fate is strength undefeatable." (Helen Keller)

Full Moon Ceremony Find the time to have your own private Full Moon Ceremony. You have a three day window of energy in which to manifest your intentions. The day before, the day of, and through the day after the Full Moon.

Jot down two or three areas of your life you want to clean up. The Full Moon is the time to release or get rid of the things in your life that no longer serve you, so by the next New Moon your slate is clean for new beginnings, or furtile for the planting of new seeds.

Possible phrasing: I now release______ from my life. I now release my destructive ________ patterns. I now let go of fear, Jealosy, anger, envy, negative thinking, etc... Remember, think and envision as though you have already let go of what you have released. See yourself free from anything holding you back from your dreams. Thoughts are things and the brain manifests exactly what you show it in the form of thoughts and visuals about yourself. The Buddha said, and I am paraphrasing, "We are the sum total of our thoughts up to today. " If we want to be different then we must change our thoughts. "If you always do what you've always done, then you'll always get what you've always got." CONSCIOUS CHANGE is the key.
