October 17, 2005

Greetings,

Are you living the life you feel destined for – or have things gone off course? This Moon phase is an opportune time to realign your passions, intentions and actions to light the path for the next 19 years. This is the time period for this Moon eclipse cycle. What were your goals 19 years ago? Is this a time to dig in deeper and assure the success of those goals? Or, is this the time to start new, moving in a whole, more fullfilling direction? With eyes wide open, how deep can you look into your shadowy side and see what direction will be for your highest expression, stripped of outer concerns. This time is a calling out to your very depths, to embody the authentic expression that you came here to experience and share.

Admittedly, change can be scary, but the price of authenticity is well worth it. For, once we are liberated from the illusion and expectations we construct that confine and define, we experience the gift of personal power and unexpected courage. Like the Phoenix, we can rise out of the ashes and reach amazing new heights. And as an added incentive to be who you were meant to be, this is the place of your greatest joy, and as you radiate the divine energy of joy, it just attracts more of the same!

Looking to the Skies:

The autumn sky of October is magical, especially with the brilliance of this awesome Full Moon. Mars, the Red Planet, goes retrograde in Taurus, Oct 1 and outshines Sirius – the brightest of all stars. Take a moment, step outside and look toward the heavens. Experience the beauty of Mars and the Moon. You can tell that it is Mars as it has a red glow and is the brightest star in the night sky. It will even rival Jupiter – the planet normally second in brightness to Venus.

Have an energized and productive couple of weeks.

Wendy Cicchetti

FULL LUNAR ECLIPSE MOON IN ARIES (24 degrees ) 5:14 am PDT, Monday, October 17th.

This powerful Moon is the Full Hunter’s Moon and Partial Lunar Eclipse. The eclipse is visible throughout most of North America, Asia and Australia in the very early morning hours. Just as the season changes and the leaves begin to fall from the trees, we instinctively prepare for the hunt that will sustain us through the coming winter months – this is how this recurring Full Moon received it’s name hundreds of years ago from the American Indians.

Lunar eclipses are special Full Moons. The Earth, with all her inhabitants, is poised precisely between the yang radiation of the Sun on one side and the yin magnetic forces of the Moon on the other. As the Moon slivers into the shadow of the Earth, darkens, and re-ignites, we seem to experience the inner impact of a lunar cycle in just a few hours. Once more, there is a blockage of light; once more, habitual patterns and perceptions can to be viewed and altered.

With the Sun at 24° Libra and the Moon at 24° Aries, the Scales of Justice are clearly seen. In partnerships of all kinds - personal, professional, political - we become more aware of the need to compromise and collaborate. We recognize that we can accomplish more together than individually. Eventually, we see that opposites are part of a continuum, eternally coupled and defining each other by contrast. Yin needs Yang; Light relies on Dark to provide the playground for Consciousness to enjoy the game of duality.

Jupiter at 28° Libra is close to his yearly conjunction with the Sun (exact on October 22), expanding our faith in ourselves, others, and life in general. Jupiter encourages optimism, generosity, and tolerance and reminds us that there are as many ways of looking at life as there are people. Jupiter is also approaching the end of his passage through Libra (on October 25, 2005), where he's been expanding possibilities and perspectives in partnerships since September 24, 2004. Jupiter has an orbit of approximately 12 years; his last pass through Libra (October 10, 1992 to-November 10, 1993) offered similar opportunities to build broader bridges of understanding between couples, companies, and countries.

As Jupiter moves into Scorpio, his light of higher understanding shines into the deeper realms of partnership: sexuality, shared resources, and the transformation that occurs when we become intimate with another on any level.

Chiron at 28° Capricorn squares Jupiter and the lunar eclipse, offering an opportunity to resolve old grievances and create more equitable exchanges. Like the solar eclipse two weeks earlier, this lunar eclipse traces back 19 years to the one occurring on October 17, 1986 at 24°07 Aries/Libra. Associations begun then are ready to be completed or go to the next level. Notice the houses and any planets activated in your natal chart by this eclipse; those areas indicate where you are seeking to cultivate a new balance between assertion and compromise.

Neptune, who helps us to see our similarities, turns direct on October 26 at 15° Aquarius. For everyone, his station signals an eagerness to move forward; however,
people born between 1946 and 1952, who have Pluto in the mid degrees of Leo in their natal charts, are feeling most strongly the celestial push to shift their identity from ego to essence. Pluto was in Leo from 1939 to 1956; as Neptune makes his passage through Aquarius from 1998 to 2012, the generation born during World War II and soon thereafter will become more aware of their unique role and their interconnection with all of creation.

Use the light of this extra powerful Full Moon to reflect on what is no longer true, what was never true, and what is important now. Consider: "There are two ways to be fooled. One is to believe what isn't true; the other is to refuse to believe what is true." (Soren Kierkegaard)

Full Moon Ceremony Find the time to have your own private Full Moon Ceremony. You have a three day window of energy in which to manifest your intentions. The day before, the day of, and through the day after the Full Moon.

Jot down two or three areas of your life you want to clean up. The Full Moon is the time to release or get rid of the things in your life that no longer serve you, so by the next New Moon your slate is clean for new beginnings, or furtile for the planting of new seeds.

Possible phrasing: I now release______ from my life. I now release my destructive ________ patterns. I now let go of fear, jealosy, anger, envy, negative thinking, etc... Remember, think and envision as though you have already let go of what you have released. See yourself free from anything holding you back from your dreams. Thoughts are things and the brain manifests exactly what you show it in the form of thoughts and visuals about yourself. The Buddha said, and I am paraphrasing, "We are the sum total of our thoughts up to today. " If we want to be different then we must change our thoughts. "If you always do what you've always done, then you'll always get what you've always got." CONSCIOUS CHANGE is the key.

A Full Moon symbolizes the fulfillment of the seeds planted at a previous New Moon or some earlier cycle. Each Full Moon reminds us of the seeds we may have coming to maturity, to their fullness, to fruition, to the place where the fruits or gifts are received. It may seem that fullfillment of our goals takes a long time. Some intentions may manifest within the two week phase prior to the next New or Full Moon. Some however, depending on their complexity, may take a much longer time. Just remember that our thoughts set Universal Action in motion and much work takes place behind the scenes as everything is orchestrated for fullfilment. Keep visualizing your goals as though you have already attained them and they will eventually manifest. Patience is required.
