FULL MOON LUNAR ECLIPSE IN VIRGO (25 degrees)

March 14th, at 3:36 pm PST, opens the Eclipse window as the shadow of the Earth darkens the light of the Moon. This window continues until the Aries Solar Eclipse on March 29. This Eclipse time frame is especially intense due to the added Mercury and Jupiter Retrogrades and Pluto positioning for it's Retrograde station on March 29. This is an extremely powerful and stressful period where one will usually feel like taking a time out. This can be an in-between the worlds type experience where we may literally feel we are being rewired, reprogrammed, and restructured at the deepest levels.

Eclipses are accelerators of experience and in the Virgo realm this has to do with the direct experience of vibrational patterns as they express in the physical world. This includes the vibrational patterns of our physical bodies and how that relates not only to the Earth’s vibrational pattern but also to the vibrational patterns of our galaxy.

Therefore, these next few weeks are an especially important time to replenish daily by getting plenty of rest, exercising, spending time in nature, and taking time to renew your spirit in whatever ways work best for you. Drinking lots of pure living water for maximum physical hydration and continued purification, as well as taking time to embrace our deepest feelings and releasing them with love and forgiveness (when needed) helps smooth out the integration of the deep physical changes now in process.

Pisces is the sign most concerned with the remembrance of our spiritual origins. The twelfth sign is the homecoming to unity. Virgo strives to understand the body-mind-spirit connection and to attain mastery of physical matter. Virgo seeks perfection; Pisces knows that all is perfection. This eclipse illuminates the truth that matter and spirit are not separate, that heaven is not a place but a state of mind. On September 16, 1997, there was a lunar eclipse at 23°56' Pisces-Virgo; and on March 12, 1998, a lunar eclipse at 22°24' Virgo-Pisces, activating similar territory in our lives. Insights from those times are being deepened now.

This eclipse is strongly affected by Pluto closely squaring the Sun and Moon. Pluto square the Sun helps us to strip away false identifications, reminding us that we are spiritual beings having a human experience, rather than humans trying to be spiritual. Pluto square the Moon brings emotional residue to the surface, helping us to recognize our projections and release self-doubt and self-deprecation.

Pluto is also very close to the center of the Milky Way galaxy (26°52' Sagittarius), a source of intense cosmic radiation. Pluto will be close to the galactic center for most of this year, magnifying the evolutionary impetus of the galactic emanations. Orbiting at the edge of our solar system, Pluto represents the boundary between the known and the unknown, the gateway to an expanded sense of identity and connection with the universe. Pluto also helps us to see beyond the myth of the Fall (that we are sinners in need of redemption) and to know that we need only to forgive ourselves for choosing to play the game of duality and forgetting our divinity.

We are on the threshold of another major turning point in our evalution and the old order has finished its job. We're ready to take another quantum leap, one that involves the heart even more than the mind: "Everyone sees the unseen in proportion to the clarity of his heart, and that depends upon how much he has polished it. Whoever has polished it more sees more - more unseen forms become manifest to him." (Jalal-Uddin Rumi)

I will be including Opportunity Periods in the updates from now on. These are a wonderful tool to maximize our efforts. Opportunity Periods reflect favorable aspects of the Moon. The energies of the Moon impact us in a very direct way. Using the positive energies that the Moon showers upon the Earth, to our benefit, makes good sense. Opportunity Periods have proven to provide helpful energy to non routine tasks. If you feel like you are always going against the grain and things are stressful, try using these time periods for more easily accomplishing important tasks: purchases, repairs, client appointments, sales calls, important phone calls, finishing goals, starting new projects, tying up loose ends, starting new relationships ( except when Venus is Retrograde), job hunting, doctor visits, family meetings, etc.

I personally use OPs and find them to be invaluable. I am happy to pass on this unique and useful information. We will not be holding formal Moon ceremonies again until May as the Moons fall during the week instead of on the weekend. So, find the time to have your own private Moon Ceremony. You have a three day window of energy in which to manifest your intentions. The day before, the day of, and through the day after the Full Moon.

For the Full Moon, Jot down two or three areas of your life you want to clean up. The Full Moon is the time to release or get rid of the things in your life that no longer serve you, so by the next New Moon your slate is clean for new beginnings, or furtile for the planting of new seeds.

Possible phrasing: I now release______ from my life. I now release my destructive ________ patterns. I now let go of fear, jealosy, anger, envy, negative thinking, etc... Remember, think and envision as though you have already let go of what you have released. See yourself free from anything holding you back from your dreams. Thoughts are things and the brain manifests exactly what you show it in the form of thoughts and visuals about yourself. The Buddha said, and I am paraphrasing, "We are the sum total of our thoughts up to today. " If we want to be different then we must change our thoughts. "If you always do what you've always done, then you'll always get what you've always got." CONSCIOUS CHANGE is the key.

A Full Moon symbolizes the fulfillment of the seeds planted at a previous New Moon or some earlier cycle. Each Full Moon reminds us of the seeds that may have coming to maturity, to their fullness, to fruition, to the place where the fruits or gifts are received. It may seem that fullfillment of our goals takes a long time. Some intentions may manifest within the two week phase prior to the next New or Full Moon. Some however, depending on their complexity, may take a much longer time. Just remember that our thoughts set Universal Action in motion and much work takes place behind the scenes as everything is orchestrated for fullfilment. Keep visualizing your goals as though you have already attained them and they will eventually manifest. Patience is required.
