MOON IN Taurus (08 degrees ) 12:45 pm PDT, Thursday, April 27,
2006.
A New Moon moves energy in powerful ways at the
very depth of our being. This phase is never visible as the Sun's
light hides the moon. So, conception takes place in the dark,
like a seed germinating below the surface of the earth. This is
an excellent opportunity to set new intentions which are quickened
by the pull of the Moon.
Plants grow more quickly and ideas and intentions also germinate
more rapidly at this time. What do we want to cultivate now? Taurus
represents the desire for value and worth. How's our self-esteem?
Do we live in accordance with our core values? As the first earth
sign, Taurus has the spiritual task to establish a healthy relationship
to the Earth in all its forms, neither grasping at nor rejecting
the challenges of life.
This New Moon forms a fixed grand cross, an energy configuration
that activates long-standing patterns and issues. Fixed crosses
have the effect of an irresistible force meeting an immovable
object: Events conspire to eradicate the things that are holding
us back. This grand cross pushes us to release whatever is not
in alignment with our essence. Jupiter at 15° Scorpio
is opposite the Sun
and Moon, encouraging us to explore our deepest motivations and
assumptions. What do we want more than anything? What are we afraid
of? Fear is always a result of a limited perspective; it's easier
to move on when we can see the bigger picture. Saturn at 5°
Leo
squares Jupiter (widely) as well as the Sun and Moon, advising
us to be our own judge and authority and to concentrate on what's
closest to our hearts. Chiron in Aquarius
opposes Saturn
and squares the Sun, Moon,
and Jupiter, reminding us that the truer we are to ourselves,
the more power we have to change the world. To get an idea of
how much each person can affect the world, read David

The Hidden Determinants of Human Behavior; according to his system,
the level of one's consciousness can affect thousands or even
millions of people, with unconditional love being the most powerful
agent of change.
Venus, the Goddess of Love and the traditional ruler of Taurus,
is in Pisces, the sign of unconditional love and acceptance. Venus
in Pisces encourages us to base our lives on spiritual rather
than material values. How would we live if we knew that everything
is interdependent and interconnected? What would we do if we realized
that all matter is conscious, from the cells in our bodies to
the plants and rocks of the Earth to the planets and galaxies?
Venus
at 24° Pisces is approaching a square to Pluto
at 27° Sagittarius, making it easier to open our hearts and
minds. Jupiter,
the ruling planet of Sagittarius,
is close to trining Uranus
at 14° Pisces
(exact on May 5th), facilitating breakthroughs and
creative solutions to long-standing problems.
Take an inventory. What possessions or habits are not getting
you anywhere? Use your body as a barometer as you look at your
life; watch when your muscles relax or tighten and whether your
energy level goes up or down. We each inhabit a very sensitive
instrument; trust it to determine what belongs in your life now.

Opportunity
Periods are a wonderful tool to maximize our efforts.
Opportunity Periods
reflect favorable aspects of the Moon. The energies of
the Moon impact us in a very direct way. Using the positive energies
that the Moon showers upon the Earth, to our benefit, makes good
sense. Opportunity Periods have proven
to provide helpful energy to non routine
tasks. If you feel like you are always going against
the grain and things are stressful, try using these time periods
for more easily accomplishing important tasks: purchases, repairs,
client appointments, sales calls, important phone calls, finishing
goals, starting new projects, tying up loose ends, starting new
relationships ( except when Venus is Retrograde), job hunting,
doctor visits, family meetings, etc. The list of OP's

are the sum total of our thoughts up to today. " If we want
