The Full Moon always brings hidden realities to light. The Moon in Scorpio brings forth what's dead or dying in our lives. Like water, matter holds the energetic patterns of whatever it's been exposed to, whether it's a personal item or a mountain. Gifts are strongly charged with the energy of both the giver and the recipient. Take an inventory of your life, and weed out anything that doesn't support who you are now. The Scorpio Moon is about cleaning house physically and emotionally-purging old resentments and healing old wounds. There's power in the dark, in our unconscious, and this Full Moon illuminates where we may need to face some old demons or an albatross.

The Sun in Taurus sheds light on the physical realities of life. How much beauty and peace is there in our lives? Are we in touch with the Earth and with our bodies? Do we have what we need? Do we want what we have? For millennia, many religions urged the denial of the body, the separation of spirit and matter. Now, modern physicists speak of an interconnected reality long described by both Eastern and Western mystics. We know now that as the Earth changes, we change, and vice versa. Neptune at 20° Aquarius squares the Sun at 22° Taurus and the Moon at 22° Scorpio, pushing us to release attachments and fears. Neptune, the mythic God of the Sea, fogs distinctions so that we may sense the underlying unity in all things. In Aquarius, Neptune supports the recognition of unity in diversity, encouraging each person to embody his or her unique expression of the divine and to see the divine in others.

Both illusion and intuition are heightened during this Full Moon and beyond, as Neptune exactly squares the Sun on May 10 and approaches retrograde on May 22. Planets do not literally retrograde, but because of the vast difference in their orbits and rates of speed, from our perspective they appear to slow down, stop, creep backward, stop, and slowly move forward again. As a planet hovers in retrograde, the combination of that particular planet and sign is concentrated and intensified - like a searchlight that is sweeping the sky very slowly - so we are able to see more clearly what is there or not. Neptune will station retrograde at 20° Aquarius and turn direct on October 29 at 17° Aquarius. Neptune reaches 20° once more in February 2007.

Chiron is also nearing his yearly retrograde station on May 15 at 10° Aquarius. As the archetype of the Wounded Healer, Chiron in Aquarius has been clearing the way for all people to express their unique abilities and more easily join with others who share their ideals. As Chiron and Neptune make their passage through Aquarius, those born with Pluto in Leo (most of the Baby Boomer generation) are fulfilling their unique part in assisting the birth of the Aquarian Age. Chiron will be retrograde until October 12, when he turns direct at 4° Aquarius; he again reaches 10° in January 2007.

I will be including Opportunity Periods in the updates from now on. These are a wonderful tool to maximize our efforts. Opportunity Periods reflect favorable aspects of the Moon. The energies of the Moon impact us in a very direct way. Using the positive energies that the Moon showers upon the Earth, to our benefit, makes good sense. Opportunity Periods have proven to provide helpful energy to non routine tasks. If you feel like you are always going against the grain and things are stressful, try using these time periods for more easily accomplishing important tasks: purchases, repairs, client appointments, sales calls, important phone calls, finishing goals, starting new projects, tying up loose ends, starting new relationships ( except when Venus is Retrograde), job hunting, doctor visits, family meetings, etc.

PERSONAL MOON CEREMONY Find the time to have your own private Moon Ceremony. You have a three day window of energy in which to manifest your intentions. The day before, the day of, and the day after.

For the Full Moon, jot down two or three areas of your life you want to clean up. The Full Moon is the time to release or get rid of the things that no longer serve you, so by the next New Moon your slate is clean for new beginnings, or furtile for the planting of new seeds.

Possible phrasing: I now release______ from my life. I now release my destructive ________ patterns. I now let go of fear, jealosy, anger, envy, negative thinking, etc... Remember, think and envision as though you have already let go of what you have released. See yourself free from anything holding you back from your dreams. Thoughts are things and the brain manifests exactly what you show it in the form of thoughts and visuals about yourself. The Buddha said, and I am paraphrasing, "We are the sum total of our thoughts up to today. " If we want to be different then we must change our thoughts. "If you always do what you've always done, then you'll always get what you've always got." CONSCIOUS CHANGE is the key.

A Full Moon symbolizes the fulfillment of the seeds planted at a previous New Moon or some earlier cycle. Each Full Moon reminds us of the seeds that may have coming to maturity, to their fullness, to fruition, to the place where the fruits or gifts are received. It may seem that fullfillment of our goals takes a long time. Some intentions may manifest within the two week phase prior to the next New or Full Moon. Some however, depending on their complexity, may take a much longer time. Just remember that our thoughts set Universal Action in motion and much work takes place behind the scenes as everything is orchestrated for fullfilment. Keep visualizing your goals as though you have already attained them and they will eventually manifest. Patience is required.
