FULL MOON IN CAPRICORN, Monday, July 10th, at 8:02 pm PDT (19 degrees)

The Sun in Cancer shines on the realities of our personal life - our lifestyle and level of happiness. The Moon in Capricorn illuminates the responsibilities we've assumed and how successful we feel. Water and Earth - nourishment and accomplishment. What are we taking in? What are we giving back? Full Moons always reveal what has been lingering in the dark, operating below the level of consciousness. Full Moons are oppositions, which are fixed by balancing and integrating both sides. All work and no play is not only dull but also unhealthy and unsustainable. This Full Moon shows us where our inner child and inner parent or superego need to reach a new compromise.

Neptune at 19° Aquarius closely quincunxs the Sun (exact on July 11), offering a special opportunity and challenge. A quincunx (150°) is a somewhat difficult aspect to integrate. The signs involved are different in element (water and air), polarity (yin and yang), and quality (cardinal and fixed), requiring an adjustment on three levels. Also, the energies of the Sun and Neptune are dissimilar: The Sun is the expression of individual identity; Neptune, the state of unity consciousness. Any aspect from Neptune,the mythic God of the Sea, can feel foggy and disorienting, as our ordinary reference points dissolve in order for us to function in more subtle dimensions. The Sun's quincunx to Neptune promotes a crucial shift in perception. What would we do if we knew we were immortal, infinite spirits? How would we think and live if we knew we were not separate?

Another important message involves Saturn, the principle of focus and manifestation, authority and responsibility. The mythic Reaper stationed retrograde on November 21, 2005 at 11°19' Leo, turned direct on April 5 at 4°23' Leo, and again reaches 11°19' Leo on the day of the Full Moon. Since last Fall, we have been reviewing and restructuring our lives; Saturn crossing the degree where it last stationed retrograde indicates that we are now ready to take a big step forward. Whatever is out of alignment or inauthentic comes to light, and we are shown where we need to reclaim our power and authority. Saturn moving through Leo reminds us that each of us is a Creator, and it encourages us to live from essence rather than ego.

Saturn is the principle of form and effort; Jupiter, the principle of vision and grace. Jupiter has just turned direct on July 6, signaling that it's time to take a leap of faith. Jupiter, the mythic Sky God's square to Saturn, Father Time has been encouraging us to move past our fears and into our truth. Because of their respective retrograde phases, Jupiter and Saturn are in an extended connection, with Jupiter first squaring Saturn on December 16, 2005 at 11° Scorpio-Leo; making a second square on June 22 at 9° Scorpio-Leo; and ending with a final square on October 25, 2006 at 24° Scorpio-Leo. Each of these squares urges us to shorten the distance between our dreams and our reality. At this Full Moon, Jupiter in Scorpio is also in aspect to Pluto in Sagittarius - a strong push to examine and eliminate outdated beliefs.

This Full Moon highlights the distance between where we are and where we want to be; it asks us to remember: "Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life." (Steve Jobs, addressing the Stanford University graduating class of 2005)

PERSONAL MOON CEREMONY Find the time to have your own private Moon Ceremony. You have a three day window of energy in which to manifest your intentions. The day before, the day of, and the day after.

For the Full Moon, jot down two or three areas of your life you want to clean up. The Full Moon is the time to release or get rid of the things that no longer serve you, so by the next New Moon your slate is clean for new beginnings, or furtile for the planting of new seeds.

Possible phrasing: I now release______ from my life. I now release my destructive ________ patterns. I now let go of fear, jealosy, anger, envy, negative thinking, etc... Remember, think and envision as though you have already let go of what you have released. See yourself free and living your dreams. Thoughts are things and the brain manifests exactly what you show it in the form of thoughts and visuals about yourself. The Buddha said, and I am paraphrasing, "We are the sum total of our thoughts up to today. " If we want to be different then we must change our thoughts. What you think about grows!! "If you always do what you've always done, then you'll always get what you've always got." CONSCIOUS CHANGE is the key.

A Full Moon symbolizes the fulfillment of the seeds planted at a previous New Moon or some earlier cycle. Each Full Moon reminds us of the seeds that may be coming to maturity, to their fullness, to fruition, to the place where the fruits or gifts are received. It may seem that fullfillment of our goals takes a long time. Some intentions may manifest within the two week phase prior to the next New or Full Moon. Some however, depending on their complexity, may take a much longer time. Just remember that our thoughts and emotions set Universal Action in motion and much work takes place behind the scenes as everything is orchestrated for fullfilment. Keep visualizing your goals as though you have already attained them and they will eventually manifest. Do not concern yourself with current conditions or worry about controling it. The universe takes care of those details. Just keep seeing what you want and give no energy to what you don't want. Patience is required.
