Greetings,

I have spent a great deal of time thinking about HAPPINESS and what it actually means. The definition that keeps coming is the ability to be our true selves and to express and enjoy the highest in us, freely, without judgment or guilt. This then becomes a purely individual thing, a unique exploration free of the need or desire to conform. We then are liberated to consciously explore what true happiness feels like through our relationships, our talents and our activities.

I know for certain that we cannot find true happiness by living another person's life and another's expectations. The soul will want to leave this life to find freedom of expression in the next. Often illness or accidents, with death as the goal are created or large amounts of pain so that the soul can be liberated through new choices. Empowerment comes through making conscious choices and following our heart with awareness. But, this can create problems of its own. There are times we feel that something doesn't feel right yet through a need to conform or a fear of letting down or hurting others, we continue to doubt what we feel or our intuition and carry on with a life that does not satisfy or that belongs to another person or thought system. It is time to wake up and pay attention to the pleadings of your soul and be conscious about creating your individual happiness.

There are those who find great happiness by accepting the circumstances in their life and the consequences of past choices and make the best of each opportunity through the difficulties and challenges. There is no smooth line. Everyone's life has ups and downs no matter what choices have been made and often there is tragedy to bear. But, if you can learn to be you and to find your unique expression and see beauty amid the chaos, I think the answer can be found there.

So, pick up your paints and brushes and become the "Artist of Your Mind". Choose to be happy and if you lack peace and joy, seek it from within by asking that you may become, and embody the attributes you seek and that you will easily find your unique self expression, what you were born to be. FULL MOON TOTAL LUNAR ECLIPSE IN PISCES, August 28, 2007, 3:35 am PDT (5 degrees)

Every month, we have a Full Moon; only every six months do the Sun, Moon, and Earth align precisely to generate a lunar eclipse. There is a dramatic shift as the Moon disappears into the shadow of the Earth. For a few hours, we experience the Moon quite differently, not as reflected sunshine but by "earthshine," the subtle light reflected from the Earth's surface. If possible, watch the eclipse as it peaks around 3:35 a.m. (PDT). It may be helpful to reflect on what was happening in your life 19 years ago; on August 27, 1988, there was a lunar eclipse at 4°23' Pisces-Virgo, very close to the degree of this eclipse. What was important in your life back then? What is calling you now? Are there similarities?

This Eclipse of the Moon marks the beginning of a two-week period, until the Solar Eclipse on September 11th, when we have direct access to our creative power. For thousands of years, mystics and shamans have heralded these eclipses as very powerful times. The power of humans to manifest a new reality is much stronger during these times.

It is essential that we direct our minds to think higher, positive thoughts during the eclipses and the two weeks in between. Meditating on the glories of infinite possibilities and Divine good, and repeating spiritual mantras and creative affirmations are effective ways to accomplish this. This eclipse period, combined with the Saturn Trine Pluto cycle, represents one of the most profoundly powerful periods for manifesting in human history! If you take advantage of these energies, you will access the creative power of the Universe and direct it towards manifesting your dreams, passion and desires. Remember the manifesting can work either way, for good or ill. Watch your thought processes carefully during this time. Keep your emotional vibrations high. Let us visualize, feel and expect only the best and manifest creative solutions of the light. Together we can make a difference and bring about miraculous changes in our world.

The keywords for this lunar eclipse are focus and faith. The Sun at 5° Virgo shows us where we need to be more discerning; the Moon at 5° Pisces helps us see that we must also surrender to the mysteries of life. Another way of understanding the meaning of the signs is through their physical associations. Virgo, the sign most concerned with the body/mind/spirit connection, corresponds to the intestines, the part of the body that selects what is a nutrient and what is to be eliminated. Like its symbol, a maiden holding a sheaf of grain, Virgo represents the function of sorting the wheat from the chaff, the discrimination of what is essential and what is no longer useful. Pisces, the last sign in the zodiac, is linked with the feet, the parts of the body that connect directly to the Earth. As depicted by the symbol of two fishes yoked and swimming in opposite directions, Pisces represents the interconnection of matter and spirit, body and soul, the finite and the infinite.

Mercury, the traditional ruler of Virgo, opposes Uranus at 17° Pisces on the day of the eclipse, sparking insights and a desire to think outside the box. Mars at 13° Gemini is nearing a square to Uranus, exact on September 3, the same day the Sun squares Jupiter at 11° Virgo-Sagittarius. This creates a wide mutable grand cross that involves the Sun, Jupiter, Mars, and Uranus, extending and amplifying the transformative power of this eclipse through the first week of September and beyond. Look before you leap. Then leap!

Saturn is an important factor as well at this time as it is about to change signs from Leo to Virgo. It enters Virgo on September 2 and moves through until July 21, 2010 During that time, those with planets in Virgo (especially a Virgo Sun, Moon, or Ascendant) will feel the clarifying effects of Saturn most acutely. Are we in service - or in servitude? For everyone, Saturn in Virgo calls us to work smarter rather than harder and to focus on improvement in all areas of life, especially in terms of our own health, the health-care industry, and environmental issues.

This is a time for a growing collective awareness of spiritual realities and reminds us that "Only those who will risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go." (T. S. Eliot)

If you have a copy of your Natal chart, check which house 5 degrees Pisces falls in your chart. For you, this is where the greatest personal impact will be during this Full Moon period.

A Full Moon symbolizes the fulfillment of the seeds planted at a previous New Moon or some earlier cycle. Each Full Moon reminds us of the seeds that may be coming to maturity, to their fullness, to fruition, to the place where the fruits or gifts are received. It may seem that fulfillment of our goals takes a long time. Some intentions may manifest within the two week phase prior to the next New or Full Moon. Some however, depending on their complexity, may take a much longer time. Just remember that our thoughts and emotions set Universal Action in motion and much work takes place behind the scenes as everything is orchestrated for fulfillment. Keep visualizing your goals as though you have already attained them and they will eventually manifest. Do not concern yourself with current conditions or worry about controlling it. The universe takes care of those details. Just keep seeing what you want and give no energy to what you don't want. Patience is required.

PERSONAL MOON CEREMONY Find the time to have your own private Moon Ceremony. You have a three day window of energy in which to manifest your intentions. The day before, the day of, and the day after.

For the Full Moon, jot down two or three areas of your life you want to clean up. The Full Moon is the time to release or get rid of the things that no longer serve you, so by the next New Moon your slate is clean for new beginnings, or fertile for the planting of new seeds.

Possible phrasing: I now release______ from my life. I now release my destructive ________ patterns. I now let go of fear, jealousy, anger, envy, negative thinking, etc... Remember, think and envision as though you have already let go of what you have released. See yourself free and living your dreams. Thoughts are things and the brain manifests exactly what you show it in the form of thoughts and visuals about yourself. The Buddha said, and I am paraphrasing, "We are the sum total of our thoughts up to today. " If we want to be different then we must change our thoughts. What you think about grows!! "If you always do what you've always done, then you'll always get what you've always got." CONSCIOUS CHANGE is the key.

Opportunity Periods are a wonderful tool to maximize our efforts. Opportunity Periods reflect favorable aspects of the Moon. The energies of the Moon impact us in a very direct way. Using the positive energies that the Moon showers upon the Earth, to our benefit, makes good sense. Opportunity Periods have proven to provide helpful energy to non routine tasks.
